Arsenal eye Roma captain
Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini has emerged as a target for Arsenal, according to reports from Italy.
Italian outlet La Repubblica, as per Sport Witness, state that Roma are evaluating his future given Pellegrini's contract expires in 2026. Napoli and Inter Milan are both said to be interested in the midfielder, but Arsenal are also in the race.
It is claimed Pellegrini is more likely to leave Roma in the summer and he may well represent a value signing for the Gunners due to his contract situation.
Jorginho exit?
Jorginho is out of contract at the end of the season and ESPN are reporting that his agent, Joao Santos, has held talks with Palmeiras about a move.
Earlier this moth, Arteta said that contract talks with Jorginho and fellow midfielder Thomas Partey have been delayed as he wants to focus on the remainder of the campaign. "Idon’t want to start to have these conversations now, I want to have these conversations much later because the focus has to be on what we have to do in the season," he said.
However, it is claimed that Arsenal would only be willing to offer Jorginho a one-year contract extension, but the former Chelsea star would prefer to sign a longer deal.
Wolves star linked
According to a report from the Sun, Arsenal are among a host of Premier League clubs who are interested in signing Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes.
Manchester United and Liverpool are also said to be considering a move for the 23-year-old, who has impressed since joining Wolves from Flamengo back in 2023. The report states that Wolves are 'determined' not to sell Gomes and he is under contract until 2028.
As a result, it will take a huge offer for Wolves to consider selling Gomes. Wolves have already moved to tie down star forward Matheus Cunha to a new deal amid interest from clubs including Arsenal.
