Manchester City and Real Madrid have reportedly been put on alert by the fact that Chelsea are yet to approach Reece James about a new contract.
The 22-year-old signed a new deal two-and-a-half years ago worth around £70,000-per-week, but according to the Daily Mail, no talks have yet taken place on a new contract despite James' emergence as a first-team star, with three years left on his current deal.
There is said to be confidence that James will remain at the club, despite Man City reportedly seeing him as a potential long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
